Short notes. Mostly on the quiet things.
Thinking out loud about the product, the privacy model, and the small set of ideas underneath both. Written irregularly. Never cross-posted.
The name means witness
I renamed it. As of this week the product is Vitni, not Mune. Vitni is Norwegian for witness.
The feedback button
I was testing Vitni the way I test everything, I was using it for real and waiting for it to break.
I didn't give it a name
The moment you name the chatbot, you've made it a someone. And the moment it's a someone, you start adjusting.
The only thing I can find out
The only thing I can find out is their email if they use that to sign up.
24 words you'll probably never use
Not as a policy. As a fact about the architecture.
The notes I kept deleting
What I was looking for and couldn't find. So I built it instead.
Most of these start as something I couldn't stop turning over while building. What got built, what got cut, why the privacy model looks the way it does. If you're new to Vitni, how it works is the short version. In depth is the long one.
