The thought, you couldn't finish.

You talk. Somehow what you're actually thinking comes out. Then it writes it down.

Or watch the encryption run on something you type.

What it is

Two things. Both yours alone.

Vitni is a private AI chat with an encrypted journal attached. You can use one. You can use both. You can switch between them whenever.

01

The chat.

Type what's on your mind. The AI asks the next question. Helps you find what you actually think.

02

The journal.

Save what's worth keeping. Or write fresh, like a diary. Yours to read, edit, delete.

The difference

One half-thought. Two different machines.

Feed the same unfinished thought to a general AI assistant and to Vitni. Watch what each one hands back.

You type

I feel like nothing I do at work is good enough.

A general AI assistant

  • Validation, first.
  • Then advice you didn't ask for.
  • Then a plan with ten steps.
  • Then three follow-up questions.

All reasonable. None of it yours.

Vitni

Is the problem the work itself, or the standard you're using to judge it?

One question. Then it waits.

The entry you keep, if you keep it

The standard, not the work

It's not the work that's failing. It's the bar I keep moving every time I clear it. I want to catch myself moving it.

Most AI tries to keep you talking. Vitni helps you finish the thought.

How privacy works

Locked on your phone. Before it goes anywhere.

Like a sealed letter you keep the only key to. Vitni stores the box. You hold the key.

Locked on your device

I can't read your stuff.

Not because I promised. Because the app is built so I can't. No master key. No admin peek.

What the AI sees

Your words go to the AI. Your name does not.

To reply, your message leaves your phone for the AI to read, with no name or email attached. The AI provider does not train on it, and deletes it on their standard schedule. Vitni keeps your side of the chat encrypted, so you can come back to it, and still cannot read it.

The trade-off

If you lose your passphrase, your data is gone.

Signing in is one thing. The passphrase that unlocks your writing is another, and only you hold it. There's no reset for it. Save the recovery key somewhere safe.

The whole architecture is public. Every box, every arrow. Read the deep overview

“I'm one person in Oslo. Vitni is in public beta now. It's free while it finds its shape, and the door below is open.”
